When the beautiful days arrive (hopefully they will arrive!), Paris has so many to offer !
Here are the best things to do in the city of lights!
First of all let’s start with the famous and classy tennis tournament: Roland Garros which brings every year the world’s greatest tennis players and that will take place from May 29 to June 11. Last year, it was the Serb Novak Djokovic who finally won the Grand Slam Tournament. Who will be the winner this year? Stay tuned!
Two others important and Parisian events not to be missed: The horse racing courses at Chantilly, with the Prix du Jockey Club on June 4th and the very elegant and so Parisian Prix de Diane Longines on June 18th. Ask to your private luxury travel advisor your tickets and as Prix de Diane also rhymes with eccentricity and glamour, bring out your most beautiful hat and suit up!
For music fans, June is also THE month! In fact, Paris celebrates every year the summer
solstice on 21 June 2017 with a day of free gigs all over the city: La Fête de la Musique. Whether you want to see one of your favorite artists in concert or want to discover new artists, you can be sure to be delighted! June marks also the return of the legendaries Beach Boys at the Olympia on June 1st, followed by Hans Zimmer on June 11th and last but not least Phil Collins from June 18th to June 23rd at the AccorHotels Arena. Even if those shows at fully booked do not hesitate to ask to your concierge to find tickets.
2017 welcomes also the International Paris Air Show at Bourget from June 19th to June 25th. This world class event, which takes place every 2 years, is the key event in the world market for the international aerospace and aircraft industry. Here the newest technologies of the aerospace industry and related equipment will be presented. More than 180,000 people attended the show in 2015. And the organizers are expecting even more this year! This is a thing to do during your stay in Paris also with your children who will be enjoyed with all animation suggested on spot.
Finally, for a perfect family outing, do not miss the annual Tuileries Fun Fair. This temporary summer carnival takes place in the garden facing the Louvre museum features around 80 different attractions, including a vintage 1900’s carousel, bumper cars, trampolines, climbing walls, giant slides, zip wires and ghost trains. A lovely event for long & light summer evenings !
